So anyway, my week starts tomorrow.
From what I can tell, it's going to be long and boring. I wish the people from here were on. I mean, this place used to be full of people all the time.
By the time I got here, maybe like, two years ago, it was already dying though.
It's simple, the story of this place. Remy told me it:
It was one of the first X-men Evolution RPGs on the web (that's why it's on Google), and it was made by some girl, I think. She was the admin of this place, and her name was star. right when she made the place, more people started to join, and fast. It's because X-men was still an on-going series, you know?
Anyway, she got Remy and another guy named Maudib as Moderators, and they helped watch over the place. But then, for no apparent reason, star left the place for good. She left the whole site, with moderators, members, plot, and everything.
It was up to Remy and Maudib to keep a lid on things, and make sure the ever-growing population of members behaved, I guess. They only had a limited amount of powers as Mods, but they got their respect.
By the time I joined, everything looked neat, even though ther wasn't a real plot. Or that many RPers. Or a mod..
Now that I mention it, the place was complete chaos! I just didn't know it at the time, because the internet was completely new to me, not to mention RPGing...
I joined, and Remy let me be kitty. Though Maudib was always really sarcastic, and the members quirky and spontanious, I had a good time playing as Shadowcat. It's blurry, but I remember entering as a new recruit (don't know how that came to be) and somehow ending up in jail because of some guy's pranks. In reality, all that was happening was boring and didn't lead anywhere. I was just having fun because it was soo new to me.
I eventually noticed that the place was going downhill. Remy and Maudib had their clashes, and new members weren't stopping. It was up to Remy to do something!
He made a brand new RPG, X-men Evolution only, and invited me to be the first member! Wow, I was happy. Remy seemed to treat me really nicely. I joined the site, and helped out by being his Moderator! (He was the big boss Admin then.)
Eventually, loyal RPers from here joined our other site, and it had a big-bang moment, full of new members and a ton of fun plots. It was hard to be a Moderator, but I held through with the help of the Admin and a new Moderator, the cynical and sarcastic Magneto.
Magneto was really someone. He always ended his posts with three little dots, like this:
"Hello there ..."
Ok??? Like, we all had to keep quiet in case he had something else to say. He never did! ^^
I took the role of bugging Magneto, just so he would relax and become an actual member like the rest of us. Remy was always there too, and sometimes he would give us missions to clean up the place or advertise it.
It died too though.
How it happened, I don't know. It was right when my computer died!! I was gone for like, two months, and when I returned, it was a barren wasteland.
It took like a week for me to find Magneto and Remy on. They were surprised, but not at all happy. Magneto took off, and I stayed a while with Remy there.
There wasn't much to do though, so we said our goodbyes and left.
Sigh... can anyone say nostalgia??
