Powers Arkady can emit “death spores” which must be released on victims or they will attack his own body. Basically he has to drain other people’s life force to stay alive. He can conduct these spores through his retractable carbonadium (a malleable form of adimantium) coils, which he uses to ensnare his victims. The coils are not mutant powers, they were given to him by the Soviet Intelligence Agency. He also has enhanced stamina, super-human strength, and super speed.
History Omega Red was a homicidal killer before he got involved with the SIA in Russia. Generation X’s leader Banshee used to be an agent for “Interpol” and was tracking Arkady for numerous murders about 15 years ago (1980’s). During their “final” confrontation, Arkady killed a female inspector companion of Banshee’s, so he shot at him like mad, but wasn’t able to kill him. Banshee then turned him over to the authorities, but that’s when the SIA located and got their hands on Arkady and made some “improvements” to his body and create Omega Red.
