Sighing and walking through the streets, I head into the park with my hood pulled close to my face. Looking at all the people dwadling about, my face falls to the ground in shame. Heading toward a quiet area away from the people, I slide my hood back slightly and peer up into the branches.
"This looks like a good spot, huh Ben? Nice, alone, and quiet. What more can we ask for?" Smiling, I grab a branch and pull myself up easily, pushing my hood all the way down. Climbing higher, I look into my pocket as the white rat pokes his head out.
"How about some food? You know? Nurishment? Chow? Junk? Stuff you chew and swallow so your tummy feels stuffed?" Sighing and leaning against the trunk, I pull the chitter out lightly, rubbing my nose against his.
"All you ever think about is food. I mean, look around you! Look at the world! Look at all the people!" Smiling, I throw my hands out, nearly dropping him and recieving a quick bite in response to pull him back toward me.
"Look at the noise. Look at the pollution. Look at all those people who will be scared of you. You really need to rethink your outlook on life, Doyle."
Smiling, I lay him on my leg and sigh happily, watching the people around me. "I think I like it as it is for now."
