After mutants found out that the government had developed a cure to make them human many were happy while other were furious. Magneto saw this, as an opportunity to build up is army called the brotherhood. Magneto told them that even though the government said it were optional that they were soon going to change their minds and force all mutant to take the cure. Soon his grew ten times larger and he started to go on this his plans on killing the mutant that was the base for the cure. After Raven lost her powers Magneto needed someone else powerful to help him but none in his army were what he was looking for. Then he heard that Jean Grey was found and that she runaway from the X Mansion. She was perfect. He gather a handful of his most powerful mutants and took them to Jean Grey’s old house were Charles and Magneto first met her as a little girl. Of course he knew that Charles was going to be there too but he told his mutants not to let the others in.

As bother Magneto and Charles walked into the house they noticed thing floating; pictures, chairs, water, and others. Soon after find her Charles tried to reason with her but Magneto turned her against him. She listened to his words and soon the Phoenix came out and killed Charles. Magneto shocked and dazed from watching his old friend die in front of him finally got up and took her with him to his camp. Storm became the new headmistress of the school and tried to think of a plan on stopping Magneto and they all knew that Jean Grey was not longer herself and needed to be stopped. But how could they stop someone so strong.

Finally Magneto started to make his attack on the island were the mutant that was that base of the cure was. It was a long and hard battle but Kitty got the mutant save from harm and Wolverine killed Jean Grey. After going back to the school, Storm reopened the school and a lot more students enrolled. Things seem pretty normal other than a few of the old members of the Brotherhood wanted to cause some trouble. Ever since Magneto lost his powers from the shots of the cure that Hank stabbed him with, there was no one to take over as leader for the Brotherhood. Some of the members tried to become the leader but noticed that none of the others would listen until…Quicksilver came.

Quicksilver was the son of Magneto and heard of all that his father had done and what had happened to him. Soon he found where his father’s base was and took charge of Brotherhood. The cure was still around and the X-men were the only mutants that were known really by the people. The X-Men have been trying for a long time to get the people to trust them and let them know that they were good and just trying to help and finally people started to noticed after they helped out with taking care of Magneto and his army at the island. Quicksilver wanted people to know the name of the Brotherhood and every time they heard the name they tremble with fear. The X-Men might have won the battle…but they haven’t won the war.
