Well there is a possibilty of chating with someone by using Private massages, just click on the nickname of someone and send this a private message. But it is a good idea to work on something better I've got to think abou it...

sorcery.net/ is a good place because it has a machine thingy to make script for a java irc chat, so you wouldn't have to download MIrc to chat.
